Nigeria Launches Free Digital Skills Training for Youths
The Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated a free training program under the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) Programme, targeting 50,000 young Nigerians in the South-West. This initiative aims to equip participants with essential digital and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) skills, facilitating access to local and international job opportunities.
The program is implemented through the Bank of Industry and co-financed by the African Development Bank, Agence Française de Développement, and the Islamic Development Bank. Training will be conducted in a virtual and hybrid format over four to eight weeks, with successful participants receiving industry-recognized certification.
The allocation of slots includes 10,000 for Lagos and 8,000 each for Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti. At least 40% of the slots are reserved for women, and the program encourages participation from persons with disabilities and unemployed youths.
Applications are open until September 30, 2026, or until all slots are filled.
