FG Pledges Support For Creative Industry During AFRIMA's Patron Dinner: "Key to Our Nation’s Future"

The Federal Government of Nigeria has pledged its support for the creative industry during the AFRIMA's Patron Dinner, calling it "key to our nation's future." The event, held in Lagos on August 14, was attended by key figures such as the Minister of Art, Culture, and Tourism, Hannatu Musawa, and Lagos State Commissioners. The former Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, also attended the event.

AFRIMA's president, Mike Dada, emphasized the importance of the platform in boosting Africa's presence in the global creative economy. The 2025 edition of the awards will take place from November 25 to November 30, with various events such as the Africa Music Business Summit and Nominees Party.

Notable celebrities like Burna Boy were missing from the nominee list, sparking interest in the upcoming award ceremony on September 7 in New York.
