FG Reveals How Ansaru, Al-Qaeda Leaders Were Arrested

The Federal Government has disclosed the arrest of Amir Mahmud Mohammed Usman, also known as Abu Baraa, the deputy Amir of the Ansaru Terrorist Organisation, and a top commander of Al-Qaeda. The arrest was made in a special operation within the last two months.

According to the National Security Adviser (NSA), the capture of these leaders was the result of a carefully coordinated security operation. The significance of this operation was emphasized by the NSA, Mohammed Idris Malagi, Minister of Information and National Orientation, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, Chief of Defence Staff, and other high-ranking officials present at the press briefing in Abuja.

The operation highlights the government's commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring national security.
