Nigerian Government Warns of Terrorists Using PoS Operators for Ransom Funds

The Nigerian government, through the Nation Counter Terror Center (NCTC), has expressed serious concerns about terrorists utilizing PoS operators to transfer ransom funds, complicating security efforts. Major General Adamu Laka highlighted the challenges in tracking ransom payments, emphasizing the need to strengthen monitoring of suspicious transactions.

Several arrests have been made in connection to terror financing and ransom payments, with ongoing prosecutions. Additionally, the government is addressing the use of social media platforms by terrorists to promote attacks and support criminal activities.
