Reckless Driver Kills PoS Operator in Abuja During High-Speed Chase

In Abuja, a female Point of Sale (PoS) operator lost her life after being struck by a driver operating a commercial bus in the Berger area of the Federal Capital Territory. The incident occurred when the driver, who was operating a coaster bus, was being pursued by officials from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Eyewitnesses reported that the woman, identified as Ola, was attempting to cross the road near a Total filling station when she was hit by the speeding bus. Shockingly, neither the bus driver nor the FRSC officials stopped at the scene, leaving the victim unattended until the police from the Utako Division arrived.

The driver's reckless actions resulted in serious injuries to the woman, who tragically succumbed to her injuries. FRSC officials, including Felix Theman, are investigating the incident to determine the involvement of their patrol team.

Efforts to obtain a response from the Federal Capital Territory Police Public Relations Officer, Josephin Adeh, were unsuccessful.
