NITDA and SATH Foundation Launch Tech Innovation Ecosystem

The federal government of Nigeria, via the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the SATH Foundation, is collaborating with industry stakeholders to create a technology innovation ecosystem aimed at enhancing global competitiveness. During the presentation of the pilot report for TechOutlook 2026 in Lagos, NITDA's Director General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, emphasized the necessity for Nigeria to establish its own technology innovation ecosystem.
This ecosystem will identify existing technology gaps in five key sectors: Financial Services, Telecommunications, Commerce & Trade, Government Services, and Healthcare. Abdullahi stated that building a globally competitive innovation ecosystem requires accurate data and insights to inform government policy, stimulate technology innovation, and attract investors.
Collins Onuegbu, Chairman of the SATH Foundation, noted that TechOutlook aims to create a national platform for stakeholders to assess Nigeria's technology landscape and prioritize collaborative actions for the future.
