Nigerian Government to Launch Housing Data Center to End Speculation on Figures

The Nigerian government is set to launch a national housing data center to address the lack of accurate housing statistics in the country. Estimates from UN-Habitat suggest a housing deficit of 22 million units, requiring an annual production of 550,000 units for the next decade.

Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo and real estate investors cite the need for around 700,000 housing units annually for the next 20 years. The move is expected to provide clarity and reliable information for the housing sector, crucial for investment decisions and policy-making.
