FG Shortlists 65 Innovators for N50M Student Grant

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced the shortlisting of 65 student innovators for a N50 million grant as part of a flagship initiative by President Bola Tinubu to enhance innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth. This announcement was made in a statement signed by Folasade Boriowo, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Education, on Monday.

The selection process involved multiple stages to ensure transparency and merit, utilizing AI-enabled screening and human validation. The 65 finalists will participate in a venture development bootcamp scheduled for March 26-29, 2026, which will include pitch sessions and workshops.

The final decision on grant recipients will be based on performance during the bootcamp and evaluations by a committee. Successful recipients will be formally announced on March 29, 2026.

This initiative reflects the government's commitment to fostering innovation and supporting student entrepreneurs to build scalable ventures that can transform Nigeria's economy.
