NNPC, Gas Suppliers Sign 1.29bscf/d Feedgas Supply Deals with NLNG

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and upstream gas suppliers have signed Gas Supply Agreements (GSAs) with Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) to deliver 1.29 billion standard cubic feet per day of feed gas. The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, emphasized President Bola Tinubu's commitment to ensuring the oil company remains in the country, citing recent incentives provided by the government.

The GSAs were signed in Abuja with various companies, aiming to bridge the gap in upstream gas availability and boost Nigeria's energy transition agenda. NLNG's Managing Director, Philip Mshelbila, highlighted the importance of the agreements in enhancing local gas production capacity and supporting the nation's energy security and industrialization goals.

The agreements are seen as a significant step towards ensuring reliable gas supply and facilitating the company's expansion plans.
