Nigerian Government to Establish Agriculture Mechanisation Service Centres for Food Security

The Nigerian government, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, is set to establish Agriculture Mechanisation Service Centres in all six geopolitical zones. Senator Abubakar Kyari announced this during a conference in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The move aims to boost food security by providing training, repair services, and technology transfer to farmers. The government also plans to standardize agricultural technology and promote local assembly and maintenance of machinery to support Nigerian farmers.

Collaboration with organizations like the Nigerian Institute of Agricultural Engineers and Tanta Motor Egypt is crucial for achieving these goals.
