Nigeria Launches National Single Window Platform March 27

Nigeria is set to implement the National Single Window (NSW) platform on March 27, aimed at boosting trade efficiency within the country. Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, described this initiative as a monumental step towards transforming Nigeria's trade ecosystem during a stakeholder meeting held at the State House in Abuja.

The launch, which was first initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu nearly two years ago, is part of broader fiscal reforms intended to streamline trade procedures and enhance Nigeria's competitiveness. Gbajabiamila commended the dedication of professionals from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Revenue Service, and the Nigeria Customs Service involved in the project.

Tola Fakolad, the NSW coordinator, urged agencies to intensify their support as the platform is scheduled to go live in 23 days. The first phase will enable online processing of import permits, electronic submission of cargo manifests, and the introduction of a centralized risk management system.
