FG Empowers 100 Youths with Hospitality Skills Training

The Federal Government of Nigeria has successfully trained and empowered 100 youths under a hospitality skills initiative aimed at tackling unemployment and addressing critical skill gaps in the hospitality sector. This six-month program, implemented in partnership with the Culinary Institute Academy and the Federal Ministry of Education, included intensive classroom learning and practical industry experience.

The program's closing ceremony took place in Abuja, where Khadijat Fashina, Chief Executive Officer of the Culinary Institute Academy, highlighted the initiative's response to the shortage of skilled professionals in the hospitality sector. Ayomid Adeagbo, Special Assistant to the President on Arts, Culture, and Tourism, noted that the initiative reflects a shift towards skill-driven employment in a changing global economy.

The program is part of a broader effort to equip Nigerian youths with practical skills across multiple sectors, with a focus on entrepreneurship and access to funding to support business creation and growth.
