FG Unveils Mega Passport Centre, Promises One-week Delivery for Nigerians

The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched a Centralised Passport Personalisation Centre at the Nigeria Immigration Service headquarters in Abuja. This initiative, driven by the Ministry of Interior, aims to modernize the passport ecosystem, promising efficient services to citizens and enhancing the country's global reputation.

The new system will enable Nigerians to receive their passports within one week of application, a significant improvement from the previous process. Minister of Interior, Olubunmi, inspected the facility and highlighted that passports can now be printed within 24 hours and delivered within seven days, aligning with global best practices.

This move is set to eliminate delays and backlog in passport production, providing a more streamlined and efficient service to the citizens.
