Lagos Upgrades Tafawa Balewa Square for 2027 Intra-African Trade Fair - Infrastructure Boost

The Federal Government has upgraded Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos ahead of the Intra-African Trade Fair in 2027. Lagos State, in collaboration with Afreximbank and the African Union, will host the event.

The Minister announced the Phase One Development Launch, involving the rehabilitation of the Independence Memorial Obelisk at Tafawa Balewa Square. This project, a public-private partnership with Lafarge Africa Plc, signifies Lagos' commitment to infrastructure development for the upcoming trade fair.

The restoration of the square also reflects the government's dedication to showcasing Nigeria's potential on the international stage.
