Nigeria Strengthens AfCFTA Commitment at IATF 2025 - Trade Integration Focus

Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) at the IATF 2025 in Algiers. The Finance Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Wale Edun, emphasized the importance of unlocking Africa's potential through trade integration and industrial capacity expansion.

Nigeria aims to create a competitive environment for trade and enterprise, positioning itself as a hub for production. During the event, discussions were held with global leaders, including the President of Afreximbank and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, focusing on trade integration and investment mobilization for sustainable growth across the continent.
