FG Urges States, Stakeholders to Move from Commitment to Results on SDGs

The Federal Government has called on states and stakeholders to move from mere commitment to measurable results in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) before the 2030 deadline. During a Roundtable Dialogue with State SDGs Focal Persons in Abuja, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, Princess Adejoke, emphasized the need for greater coordination and innovation at the subnational level for Nigeria to meet its SDGs commitments.

Adejoke stressed the importance of state focal persons in bridging national policies with grassroots realities and urged states to fully integrate the SDGs into their budget and development plans. She also warned against over-reliance on external aid, urging states to mobilize domestic resources efficiently.
