FG Commits to Completing NNPC Tax Credit Road Projects, Indigenous Contractors to Benefit

Nigeria's Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, confirmed the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) had halted funding for tax credit road projects nationwide. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directed the Ministry to ensure the completion of inherited projects under the tax credit scheme.

Umahi emphasized the federal government's commitment to prioritizing critical infrastructure projects for national economic growth. The halted NNPC tax credit funding will be resumed to complete projects valued at over a billion naira.

Indigenous contractors will be involved in line with local content policies. The ongoing dualization of Road Section IIIA between Eleme Junction and Onne Junction in Rivers State is a key project receiving attention.
