FHA Commits to Affordable Housing Development in Abuja

The Federal Housing Authority (FHA), led by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Oyetund Ojo, has pledged to sustain its mandate of delivering affordable housing across Nigeria.

This commitment was made during a groundbreaking ceremony for 213 housing units in Wasa, Abuja, held on Wednesday. Mr.

Ojo emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships with credible private sector developers to accelerate housing delivery and improve the efficiency of the agency. The housing development includes 80 two-bedroom flats, 56 three-bedroom flats, 35 three-bedroom terrace duplexes, and 45 four-bedroom terrace duplexes.

This initiative aligns with the federal government's Renewed Hope Agenda and aims to significantly reduce the country's housing deficit. Additionally, the project is expected to generate employment opportunities for artisans, engineers, architects, surveyors, and suppliers, stimulating economic activity within the Wasa community.

Mr. Nya Etok Ezekiel, Executive Director of Estate Services at FHA, noted the critical role of public-private partnerships in addressing housing challenges.
