Falconets Set to Face Malawi in U20 World Cup Qualifiers

The Nigerian U-20 women's national football team, known as the Falconets, will compete against Malawi in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. The first leg of the qualifying match is set to take place between May 1 and May 3, 2026, in Nigeria, while the second leg will occur in Malawi from May 8 to May 10, 2026.

The Falconets, under the guidance of coach Mai Mose Aduku, secured their place in the final qualifying round by defeating the Lioness of Senegal with an aggregate score of 3-1, winning the first leg 1-0 in Abeokuta and claiming a 2-1 victory in the second leg. The overall winner of this matchup will earn a spot in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
