Super Eagles to Face Jordan; Falconets Meet Malawi in Qualifiers

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are scheduled to play a friendly match against Jordan in Amman, with the fixture set to take place in March. This match is part of Jordan's preparations for their first-ever appearance at the FIFA World Cup in 2026.

However, Nigeria's participation in this friendly remains contingent upon FIFA's pending decision regarding the country's eligibility due to protests involving the Democratic Republic of Congo. The outcome of this ruling is expected to determine whether the friendly match proceeds as planned.

Jordan's coach, Jamal Sellami, faces a challenging group in the World Cup alongside defending champions Argentina, Algeria, and Austria. Meanwhile, Nigeria's U-20 women's team, the Falconets, will meet Malawi in the final qualifying round for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, with the first leg scheduled in Nigeria from May 1-3, 2026, and the return leg in Blantyre from May 8-10.

The Falconets advanced to this stage after defeating Senegal 3-1 on aggregate.
