FIFA Reveals 1 Billion Funding to NFF as Super Eagles Face World Cup Uncertainty

FIFA has disclosed that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and other African football bodies received a total of 1 billion in funding through the FIFA Forward Programme since its launch in 2016. The investment aims to enhance football structures, facilities, and opportunities for young players across the continent.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino made this revelation at the 47th CAF Ordinary General Assembly in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Despite the financial support, the Nigerian national team, Super Eagles, faces challenges on the pitch, with the possibility of missing back-to-back World Cups.

The funding is part of FIFA's efforts to elevate African football and provide hope for aspiring players.
