FIFA Invests $1 Billion in African Football, Announces Development Plans

FIFA President Gianni Infantino revealed a $1 billion investment in African football through the FIFA Forward program at the 47th CAF Ordinary General Assembly in Kinshasa, DRC. The investment aims to develop football across the continent, particularly focusing on youth development and talent.

Infantino highlighted Africa's growing presence in global football and praised FIFA's support for African clubs. He also announced plans to open 20-30 FIFA academies across Africa by 2027 to further enhance talent development.

CAF President Patrice Motsepe expressed optimism for the future performance of African teams in international tournaments.
