Fire Guts Kano Essential Commodities Market, Firefighters Contain Inferno

A fire outbreak devastated part of the Kano essential commodities market, also known as Singa Market, in Kano State, Nigeria. The fire incident occurred early in the morning, with the cause remaining unclear at the time of the report.

Bashir Bello reported that the fire razed a section of the market, leading to a significant inferno. Saminu Yusif, the spokesperson for the Kano State Fire Service, confirmed the incident, stating that the service received a distress call around 3:16 a.m.

Firefighters were promptly deployed to the scene and managed to contain the fire by 10 a.m. Efforts were ongoing to bring the situation under control and prevent further spread.
