On Friday, a fire outbreak occurred at the Technology Incubation Centre near the Police Headquarters in Gombe, affecting five shops and resulting in property damage estimated at N4 million. The Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, received a distress call at 10:14 a.m. and promptly dispatched a multipurpose water tender to the scene.

The firefighting crew, led by ASF II Mukhtar Shehu and with IF Bernard as the driver, arrived and extinguished the fire using one medium jet of water. They successfully saved four of the five affected shops, preserving property valued at approximately N15 million.

After the fire was extinguished, ASF MB Muazu, the command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed that there was no immediate threat of re-ignition following a thorough inspection. The firefighting team returned to the station at about 11:09 a.m.

Muazu reiterated the commitment of the Federal Fire Service to respond promptly to emergencies and urged the public to report fire incidents quickly and observe fire safety precautions.
