First HoldCo Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited of the appointment of Dr. Julius B. Omodayo-Owotuga as an Executive Director at its subsidiary, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, effective 13 May 2026. First HoldCo Plc (NGX: FIRSTHOLDCO) disclosed on 14 May 2026 that First Bank of Nigeria Limited, its subsidiary, has appointed Dr. Julius B. Omodayo-Owotuga as Executive Director, with effect from 13 May 2026. The appointment has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Dr. Omodayo-Owotuga brings 24 years of experience across banking and financial services, infrastructure finance, power, oil and gas, and audit and consulting. Prior to this role, he served as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of First HoldCo Plc between 2021 and 2026.
His most recent position was Deputy Chief Executive of Geregu Power Plc, Nigeria's first listed power generation company, where he was involved in governance, capital market positioning, and the company's NGX listing. He previously served as Group Executive Director, Finance and Risk Management at Forte Oil Plc, now Ardova Plc.
Earlier career roles include positions at Africa Finance Corporation, Standard Chartered Bank, KPMG Professional Services, and MBC International Bank, now First Bank Nigeria Limited.
Dr. Omodayo-Owotuga holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, an MBA, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. He is a CFA Charter Holder, a Fellow of ICAN and CITN, and an alumnus of Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
