First Batch of Kwara Hajj Pilgrims Returns June 7, 2026

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board announced that the first batch of pilgrims from Kwara State participating in the 2026 Hajj in Saudi Arabia will arrive at Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport in Ilorin on Sunday, June 7, 2026. This information was conveyed in a statement issued by the board's press secretary, Mr. Jumok Jimoh.

The executive secretary of the board, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, confirmed that arrangements have been made for the reception of the first set of 560 returning pilgrims, who will be transported by Maxair. The return schedule includes a second batch arriving on Tuesday and a third batch on Friday, with the last batch expected on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

Abdulkadir noted that the pilgrims are in good health and high spirits following the completion of their religious exercise. Professor Mashood Mahmud Jimba, chairman of the board, commended Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his unwavering support in ensuring the success of the Hajj exercise.
