First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Advocates Youth in Humanitarian Service

On a significant occasion at the State House in Abuja, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu called for early youth engagement in humanitarian service, emphasizing the need to reshape the mindset of young people. During the ceremony where she was appointed Grand Matron of the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS), she described this role as an honor and pledged to contribute to advancing the humanitarian mission of the society.

Tinubu urged Nigerians to support those in need and commended the NRCS for its humanitarian interventions across the country. She expressed confidence that Nigeria could overcome its current challenges and acknowledged the vital role played by the Red Cross in humanitarian efforts.

Additionally, she explained that her office would initiate a national food bank program across six geopolitical zones to help eliminate and reduce child malnutrition in Nigeria. Oluyemisi Adeaga, the National President of the NRCS, thanked the First Lady for her commitment to humanitarian service and recognized the society's dedication to the welfare of women, children, and vulnerable families.
