Oluremi Tinubu Urges Youths to Join Voluntary Organizations

On Thursday, during her investiture as Grand Matron of the Nigerian Red Cross Society at the State House in Abuja, Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, called for increased participation of Nigerian youths in voluntary organizations. She highlighted that such organizations provide invaluable platforms for instilling habits of selfless service among young people, contributing positively to the nation.

Tinubu expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Nigerian Red Cross Society and accepted the role, viewing it as an opportunity to serve the community. She acknowledged the significant humanitarian efforts of the Red Cross across Nigeria and expressed optimism about overcoming various national challenges.

Furthermore, she announced the initiation of a national food bank program aimed at reducing child malnutrition to its barest minimum across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. Oluyemisi Adeaga, the President of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, thanked Tinubu for her commitment to humanitarian service and recognized the society's dedication to the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians.
