Oluremi Tinubu to Launch Kano Innovation Initiative

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu is set to inaugurate a federal government initiative focused on innovation and investment in Kano from April 23 to 25. This initiative follows the Kano state government's preparations to host the national rollout of a program addressing innovation across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones.

Ibrahim Waiya, the commissioner for internal affairs, announced that the event will position Kano as a strategic commercial hub in the northwest. The program aims to bridge the gap between research and market opportunities, facilitating connections between inventors and investors while providing support for intellectual property and financial access.

The three-day event will feature political mobilization, innovation exhibits, and investment-focused deal rooms. Waiya expressed confidence that this initiative will drive job creation, enhance local manufacturing, and contribute to Nigeria's export-led growth by unlocking the innovative potential of its people.
