First Lady Launches N1bn ICT Centre at EKSU

On Saturday, Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of Nigeria, inaugurated a N1 billion ICT Experience Centre at Ekiti State University (EKSU) in Ado Ekiti. This facility is part of a strategic investment to advance artificial intelligence-driven learning and improve the digital economy within Nigeria's tertiary education sector.

The initiative, supported by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), aims to enhance digital learning, research, and innovation among students, preparing them for a technology-driven global reality. During the inauguration, Tinubu emphasized the importance of providing students with modern digital tools to improve academic excellence and foster entrepreneurship.

The event was attended by dignitaries including Hajia Nana Shettima, Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. The ICT Experience Centre is expected to significantly boost EKSU's digital transformation agenda and align with global technological trends, benefiting students across six universities in Nigeria.
