APC Governors Support Tinubu's Economic Reforms

During a meeting hosted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, first term governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, issued a communique acknowledging the sacrifices made by Nigerians amid economic adjustments. The governors recognized that families, workers, farmers, traders, transporters, youth, women, and vulnerable citizens have felt the impact of current economic realities.

They emphasized the necessity of ongoing reforms to stabilize the economy, restore public finances, attract investments, strengthen national productivity, expand infrastructure, and deepen food security. Governor Idris stated that the support for President Tinubu is not solely political but stems from a conviction that Nigeria requires courageous leadership and policies.

The governors declared their total support for Tinubu's agenda, which aims to renew hope beyond 2027 and ensure national recovery and shared prosperity. They called for unity among Nigerians to look beyond temporary discomfort and focus on the larger picture of national progress.
