Five Killed in Armed Attack in Benue State Community

In a tragic incident in Tse Ameen, located in the Mbapa Council Ward of Gwer West Local Government Area, Benue State, five people were killed by suspected armed herders on Saturday night. The attack occurred while the victims were asleep in their community.

According to local sources, five bodies were recovered on Sunday, including three males and two females. The State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Udem Edet, confirmed the attack and the recovery of four bodies.

State Governor Hyacinth Alia expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and urged security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are apprehended. The incident highlights ongoing security challenges in the region, prompting calls for increased protection for local communities.
