Five Major Nigerian Firms Schedule Q3 Results Approvals in Late October

Africa Prudential, SUNU Assurances, AXA Mansard, UBA, and Transcorp have notified the NGX of board meetings to ratify third-quarter 2026 financial statements.

Spanning a five-day stretch from October 23 through October 30, five prominent Nigerian firms listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited have submitted board meeting notices. Africa Prudential Plc, SUNU Assurances Nigeria Plc, AXA Mansard Insurance Plc, United Bank for Africa Plc, and Transnational Corporation Plc plan to convene their respective boards to approve Q3 unaudited results covering the period that ended September 30, 2026.

Three entities—Africa Prudential, SUNU Assurances, and Transcorp—have scheduled their sessions for October 23. October 29 marks the date when United Bank for Africa will hold its gathering, whereas AXA Mansard's meeting falls on October 30.

At each of these board sessions, the core business item involves reviewing and approving the unaudited financial statements generated during the third quarter. This represents the primary purpose disclosed in all filings submitted to the exchange.

Starting October 1, 2026, all five organizations have put in place restrictions on trading in their securities. These limitations target insiders, connected parties, officers, and directors under NGX post-listing rules and the NGX Rulebook framework.

Until 24 hours following the public release of each firm's Q3 statements to the exchange, such individuals remain barred from transacting in company securities either directly or through intermediaries. This pattern of staggered board convocations demonstrates how Nigeria's major financial institutions and large conglomerates manage their quarterly reporting obligations.

Near or on September 30, 2026, each company filed its respective notice with the NGX, ensuring that stakeholders in the market receive adequate forewarning regarding when disclosures of financial performance will become available.
