Champion Breweries, May & Baker, Japaul Gold and Transcorp Power complete or prepare quarterly financial reviews ahead of NGX disclosure deadlines.

As October's reporting cycle accelerates, several Nigerian Exchange-listed companies are advancing through their third-quarter financial approval processes. Transcorp Power Plc completed board endorsement of its Q3 2026 unaudited figures, filing results on October 23.

Champion Breweries, May & Baker Nigeria, and Japaul Gold and Ventures have scheduled board meetings during late October to examine and authorize their respective Q3 reports covering the quarter that ended September 30, 2026. Champion Breweries has set its board meeting for October 29 to review unaudited statements, based on a notification submitted October 23 from its Uyo headquarters.

Both May & Baker Nigeria and Japaul Gold scheduled their review meetings for October 28. The Japaul Gold session will occur through Zoom at 3 pm and will include committee presentations alongside governance considerations and review of the financial statements.

Pursuant to NGX Rule 17:18(a), each company has imposed trading restrictions starting October 1 that prevent insiders from purchasing shares. These restrictions persist for 24 hours following submission of financial results to the exchange.

Such measures form customary protocol when confidential information approaches disclosure and apply to board members, senior management, and other personnel possessing access to performance data. Transcorp Power's results for nine months show profit before tax of 83.1 billion naira, lower than the 91.18 billion naira recorded in the comparable prior-year period.

Vandalism of transmission lines, gas supply shortages, and international logistics disruptions caused by Middle East-related tensions hampering turbine component deliveries contributed to the decline. Revenue contracted to 266.1 billion naira, representing a 13.7 percent decline compared to the year prior, yet the company delivered a profit margin of 31.2 percent versus 29.6 percent in the earlier timeframe.
