Five Soldiers, One Police Officer Killed in Zamfara Terrorist Ambush

In Zamfara State, five soldiers and a police officer were killed in a terrorist ambush on troops operating under the Fansan Yamma Joint Task Force. The incident occurred on Monday following a series of successful offensive operations conducted between January 17 and 19 in the Birnin Magaji Anka area of the state.

Captain David Adewusi, who led the operation, reported significant success against the terrorists, resulting in the arrest of suspects and neutralization of terrorists. The troops responded gallantly to the ambush, preventing further harm to nearby communities.

The attack was attributed to a notorious bandit kingpin known as Janwuya Alhaji Bello.
