Nigerian Exchange Group Reports 83.3% Profit Growth

Digital platforms are significantly changing how Nigerians access the capital market, subscribe to public offers, and trade listed securities. The Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX: NGXGROUP) (NGX Group) reported a profit before tax of ₦20.6 billion for the nine months ending September 30, 2026, an increase of 83.3% from ₦11.2 billion in the same period of 2025.
Profit after tax rose 86.4% to ₦14.7 billion, while revenue increased by 79.8% to ₦27.3 billion. The growth was partly attributed to higher retail participation through digital self-service channels.
NGX Group's digital infrastructure expansion includes the introduction of NGX Invest in 2024, an electronic platform facilitating public offers and rights issues. This platform has supported over 23 primary-market transactions and raised more than ₦3 trillion.
Additionally, a new service launched on September 23, 2026, allows investors to subscribe via WhatsApp, enhancing accessibility without needing a separate application.
