Flamingos Dominate Nazareth 7-0 in World Cup Qualifier Prep

The Nigerian U-17 women's team, known as the Flamingos, secured a decisive 7-0 victory against Nazareth in a preparatory match for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers. The match, held on Monday, saw Nigeria take control from the start, leading 2-0 at halftime.

Wuraola Olayiwola opened the scoring in the eighth minute, followed by Oluebub Umejiaku doubling the advantage in the 34th minute. The second half featured further goals from Harmoni Chidi, who scored twice in the 48th and 54th minutes, and a penalty converted by Oluwakemi Adegbuyi in the 59th minute.

Islamiyat Yusuf and Enodumwenben completed the rout with goals in the 62nd and 67th minutes, respectively. This victory marks the Flamingos' second consecutive high-scoring win, following a previous 6-0 victory.

Head coach Akeem Ishola Busari is preparing the team for the second round of qualifiers against Guinea, with matches scheduled for May 22-24 and May 30.
