Flamingos Prepare for U-17 WWCQ with Local Friendlies

The Nigeria U-17 women's national football team, known as the Flamingos, is set to engage in friendly matches against local clubs Gener and Nazareth Queen. These matches are scheduled for the weekend at the Gold Project Pitch in Abuja.

The head coach, Akeem Busari, has summoned 36 players to the camp, which began earlier this month at the Serob Legacy Hotel in Abuja. This preparation is crucial as the Flamingos gear up for their qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, with the first leg of the second-round fixture against Guinea taking place in Conakri from May 22 to 24, followed by the second leg scheduled for May 30.
