Fatai Owoseni Seeks Accord Party Nomination for Oyo Governorship

Fatai Owoseni, a retired former police commissioner of Lagos and the former Commissioner of Police in Benue State, has officially picked up nomination forms from the Accord Party to contest in the 2027 governorship elections in Oyo State. Owoseni resigned from his position as a special adviser on security to Governor Seyi Makinde just last week.

He obtained the forms at the Accord Party secretariat located in Yemetu, Ibadan, where he addressed party executives and supporters. In his vision for Oyo State, Owoseni aims to restore the state to its former glory, reminiscent of the era when the Western Region was recognized for its development and self-sustainability.

He emphasized the importance of uplifting the lives of civil servants and upgrading public schools, while also noting the need for the Nigerian diaspora to consider returning home to contribute to the development of the country.
