Chinedum Orji Wins APC House of Reps Ticket for 2027

Chinedum Orji, the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, won the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives ticket for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South constituency in the upcoming 2027 general elections. The announcement was made by Barrister Erasmus Cishak, the chairman of the Abia State National Assembly primary election committee, on Saturday night at the APC state secretariat in Umuahia.

The primary election was conducted peacefully, transparently, and credibly across eight federal constituencies in the state. Orji achieved victory by winning 32 wards across three local government areas: Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South.

His win sparked celebrations among supporters, youth groups, and party loyalists, who hailed the outcome as a reward for loyalty and experience in legislation. Orji expressed gratitude to the party's primary election committee and emphasized the importance of unity and commitment to quality representation for the people of his constituency.
