Chinedum Orji Declares for Ikwuano/Umuahia Seat in 2027

Chinedum Orji, the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, has officially declared his intention to run for the Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections. He made this announcement during a visit to Umuahia, where he addressed a large gathering of supporters.

Orji emphasized his commitment to serving the people of the Ikwuano/Umuahia constituency, expressing a deep desire to contribute positively to their lives. He stated that his decision to run is driven by a belief in the need for effective leadership that delivers impactful results.

Orji previously contested for the same seat during the 2023 general elections but lost to Hon. Obi Aguocha of the Labour Party.

His campaign will be under the platform of the Progress Congress, and he aims to represent the interests of his constituents in the National Assembly.
