Aliyu Zubair Resigns as Coach of Telecom SC in Egypt

Aliyu Zubair has officially resigned from his position as head coach of Telecom SC, an Egyptian second-tier football club, effective immediately. The decision to part ways was reached by mutual consent following cordial discussions with the club's management.

Zubair expressed his gratitude towards the club's leadership, players, and technical crew for their support during his tenure. He noted that he leaves with fond memories of his time in Egypt.

Zubair joined Telecom SC in November 2025 and quickly made an impact, leading the team to the semi-finals of the Egyptian FA Cup and significantly raising the club's profile in the second division. He received praise for his tactical discipline and ability to maximize the squad's potential.

Despite confirming his exit, Zubair did not disclose his next career move but indicated that it would be announced at an appropriate time. His successful coaching history includes guiding El Kanemi Warriors to a 2024 President Feder Cup title and leading Nigeria's U-20 team to a bronze medal at the Africa Cup of Nations.
