Former Governor's Wife and Devout Catholic Dies at 100

The wife of the first civilian governor of Ogun State, Chief Victor Olabisi Onabanjo, has died at the age of 100. Madam Onabanjo, known for her devout Catholic faith, passed away on January 11.

She was described as living a fulfilling life dedicated to service and family. Born in Ijebu Ode, she moved to Lagos at the age of 10 and later became a teacher for 22 years before retiring.

She played an active role in the St. Sebastian Catholic Cathedral community and celebrated her 100th birthday in 2025.
