Peter Obi Vows to Pay NECO Fees for Inmates in Anambra Prisons

Former Presidential Candidate Peter Obi has promised to settle the NECO registration fees for 148 inmates in Anambra State prisons to enable them to participate in the exams. Obi made this pledge during a visit to correctional facilities in Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, and Aguata.

The total cost of the intervention is estimated at 4,741,400 Naira. Obi emphasized the importance of education for inmates' rehabilitation and societal reintegration, highlighting the need for improved educational opportunities in correctional centers nationwide.

Additionally, Obi's recent visit to California State, Sacramento, further showcased his commitment to inclusive rehabilitation efforts.
