African Professor Wins Global Adolescent Health Award

Prof. Adesegun Fatusi, former VC of UNIMED in Ondo, Nigeria, is the first African to receive the prestigious Founder Award from IAAH for his exceptional work in adolescent health promotion.

Fatusi's pioneering efforts date back to 1999, leading the development of Nigeria's first national training manual on adolescent health. The recent virtual award ceremony, due to travel disruptions, highlighted Fatusi's lifelong commitment to youth development.

UNIMED's current VC, Prof. Ebunoluwa Adejuyigbe, praised Fatusi's impact on the institution and Nigeria's health community.

Isaac Oluyi, UNIM's Public Relations Officer, expressed pride in Fatusi's achievement.
