Fortis Global Insurance Plc has disclosed a delay in filing its Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2025 and its Q1 2026 Unaudited Financial Statements. NGX Regulation Limited has granted the company an extension to file and publish both sets of statements on or before 31 May 2026.

Fortis Global Insurance Plc (FTGINSURE) filed a corporate action notice dated 30 April 2026 informing the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public of a delay in the publication of two sets of financial statements: its Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2025 and its Unaudited Financial Statements for the first quarter ended 31 March 2026.

The company disclosed that it applied for and received approval from NGX Regulation Limited for a further extension of the filing deadline. Both financial statements are now due on or before 31 May 2026.

According to the filing, the primary reason for the delay in the 2025 Audited Financial Statements is the pending approval of the accounts by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), which the company described as a mandatory prerequisite before the accounts can be finalised and filed.

Regarding the Q1 2026 Unaudited Financial Statements, the company stated that while those statements have already been prepared, they cannot be filed ahead of the 2025 Audited Financial Statements due to the prescribed sequential filing order required by the Exchange.

The notice was signed by Halima Jimada, Company Secretary and Legal Adviser.
