Jennifer Etuh Foundation Offers Free Medical Care in Nasarawa

The Jennifer Etuh Foundation (JEF), a non-profit organization, is conducting a five-day free medical outreach in Nasarawa State, targeting 3,000 beneficiaries and aiming to perform over 100 surgeries. Mr Joe Otu, Programme Manager of JEF, announced this initiative during the outreach at Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH) in Akwanga, which commenced on October 12, 2026.
This outreach marks JEF's first intervention in Nasarawa, following over 20 similar initiatives across Nigeria. As of October 14, more than 50 surgeries had been completed, with 645 patients treated on the first day and 954 on the second.
The medical team, consisting of 82 members from ProHealth International, provided various treatments, including surgeries for fibroids, hernias, and eye care. The foundation also emphasized health education, particularly on hypertension, and plans to introduce research to identify health challenges in the communities served.
All services provided during the outreach are free, including postoperative care.
