Foundation Advocates for Disability Fund Transparency in Nigeria

The Kehind Oshilaja Foundation, led by Kehind Oshilaja, has urged the government to ensure transparent disbursement of funds allocated for individuals living with disabilities across Nigeria. This appeal was made during a pre-Ramadan lecture organized by the foundation on Saturday in Ebutte Metta, Lagos.

Oshilaja highlighted the importance of thorough supervision and monitoring of these funds to ensure they reach the intended beneficiaries, thereby making a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals. He commended Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his consistent support for the welfare of less privileged individuals but stressed the need for sustained oversight to ensure that financial support effectively reaches those in need.

The event also served as a platform to promote religious harmony in Nigeria, with Sheikh Abu Adisa encouraging unity and coexistence among Christians and Muslims. The gathering concluded with a prayer for national unity and a renewed call for inclusive policies prioritizing the dignity and welfare of persons living with disabilities across the country.
