Ministry of Defence Directors Rescued After Two-Week Abduction in Kogi Forests

Four female directors from the Ministry of Defence in Nigeria, including Mr. Ngozi Ibeziakor, Mr.

C. Emerib, Mr.

J. Onwuzurik, and Mr.

Catherine O. Essien, were abducted in Kogi State and later rescued after a two-week ordeal.

The directors were reportedly intercepted by armed men while traveling along the Kabba-Lokoja highway and taken to Kogi forests in harsh conditions with limited food and water. The Nigerian Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) condemned the attack and criticized the government for poor road conditions and insecurity affecting civil servants.
