Four Dead in Iranian Army Helicopter Crash in Isfahan

On Tuesday, a helicopter belonging to the Iranian Army's air force crashed in Isfahan, specifically in the city of Khomeynishahr. The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of four people: the pilot, the co-pilot, and two fruit vendors who were on the ground at the time of the crash.

State media, including the IRNA news agency, reported that the crash was attributed to a technical malfunction. This incident is part of a concerning trend, as Iran has experienced several severe air disasters in recent years, exacerbated by sanctions that have made it difficult for the country to acquire spare parts necessary for maintaining its air fleet.

Just days after this helicopter crash, another incident occurred involving an Iranian fighter jet that crashed during a late-night training exercise in western Hamedan province, resulting in the death of two pilots onboard.
